Marko Stamenic, a midfielder for Red Star Belgrade, was one of Coventry City’s top targets last summer and was the subject of intense pursuit just a year ago.
According to several international sites, the 22-year-old’s club and the Sky Blues have reached an agreement on a cost of approximately £4.6 million. “Listen, we looked at a lot of players and went after a couple of players, of which Marko Stamenic was one of them,” club owner Doug King said in November, confirming City’s interest in the holding midfielder.
