Craig Forsyth issues Derby County transfer verdict as hero responds to deal.

Craig Forsyth is delighted to be reunited with his old friend and teammate Andi Weimann, and believes the Derby County attacker has proven his worth in the Championship.
Forsyth is back on the same squad as the Austrian, after Derby signed Weimann on a one-year contract after he left Blackburn Rovers.
This will be the duo’s second time playing together at Pride Park. They were teammates for three years till Weimann left in 2018. Head coach John Eustace has brought him back to Derby to assist solve the club’s goal-scoring deficit, and Forsyth feels the 33-year-old will undoubtedly contribute.
“It’s becoming a bit of a theme this isn’t it the last few years of old team-mates coming back, but it’s good to have Andi back,” he told me. “He’s a good guy to have in the changing room and a good player who, over the years, has consistently scored goals at this level.” Head coach John Eustace has brought him back to Derby to assist solve the club’s goal-scoring deficit, and Forsyth feels the 33-year-old will undoubtedly contribute.

“He’s a good guy to have in the changing room and a good player who, over the years, has consistently scored goals at this level.” Eustace recognises the value of having players with Weimann’s expertise in the locker room, which is why Forsyth has also extended his time at Pride Park.
The 36-year-old Scot secured a new two-year contract in the summer after helping the club avoid relegation from the Championship last season. He was employed as a centre-back or wing-back and assisted Derby in their critical 1-0 victory over HuN City, when Nat Phillips met his cross to seal the win.
He also scored in victories over Blackburn and Preston, and he concluded the season with three goals as Derby rallied from seven points down with 11 games remaining.
