‘Did really well’ – Stoke City man hailed by Mark Robins after Cardiff City win
According to manager Mark Robins, Stoke City striker Sam Gallagher performed “really well” against Cardiff City in their most recent Championship match.
During their match at the Cardiff City Stadium, Stoke City substituted the attacker for Ali Al-Hamadi. In the end, SCFC won 1-0 in Wales, increasing their chances of surviving.
With just four games remaining before the season ends, the Potters are currently in 18th position in the standings. Five points separate them from the drop zone.
“You saw what everyone was like in the stadium,” Robins stated in an interview with BBC Radio Stoke (via StokeOnTrentLive) following their crucial victory over the Bluebirds. You had to realize that everything was tense. Gally came on and performed admirably. There is no denying that Ali had rushed around and had done nothing especially improper. That was the cause of it. The goal was to ensure that we prevailed and applied the necessary pressure on them in the second half.
To begin the Easter weekend, the Staffordshire team will play Sheffield Wednesday at home on Friday. On Monday, they will play Leeds United away.
Sam Gallagher of Stoke City was hailed
Gallagher was acquired by Stoke City in the summer of last year to strengthen their offensive unit. At the top end of the field, he provides them with greater depth and competition.
He is an accomplished operator in the Football League and offers a significant threat with his height. When he joined his current club, the former England youth international was given a contract that would last until June 2027.
Gallagher has made 19 league appearances so far this season and has scored three goals. After experiencing some injury problems earlier in the season, he is currently healthy and assisting the Potters in their efforts to maintain their second-tier standing.
Will Stoke City continue to exist?
As Stoke City looks to stay out of League One, their destiny is in their own hands. As they prepare to play Sheffield Wednesday later this week, their three points against Cardiff City should instill confidence in them.
Next season, Gallagher hopes to help the Potters score more goals. Over the following four games, Robins will be keen to demonstrate more of the player’s abilities, as he seems to be a fan.
When facing the Owls, Robins must decide whether to start Al-Hamadi again or start the former Southampton or Blackburn Rovers player right away.
