Djeidi Gassama say yes to Rangers transfer as Russell Martin dreams of landing Sheffield Wednesday winger
It is believed that the player and the Light Blues have reached an agreement for Martin to become their newest
addition.
As the winger approaches a move to Ibrox, Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday attacker Djeidi Gassama have reached
a personal agreement.
According to reports, the Light Blues have agreed to a four-year contract with the player, making him Russell
Martin’s newest summer acquisition. The clubs will now have to agree on a compensation.
A deal appears close, according to reports from earlier today, with both teams spending the week together at the FA’s
St George’s Park training camp. Rangers had reportedly been vying with other teams to sign the 21-year-old wide
player.
However, we now know that an official move is almost finished when Gassama accepted the new period headed by
49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh.
In 47 games last season, Gassama scored eight goals and provided one assist, helping the Owls finish 12th in the EFL
Championship standings.
It’s understood the playmaker is available for a fee close to £2.5million.
