Do Everything To Keep Him – Former Rangers Star Advises Gers

With 28 goals in 54 games so far this season, the Nigerian international is on the verge of becoming the team’s top scorer.

He has drawn criticism despite being in front of the goal because he consistently fails to put the ball in the net.

Rangers fans have often been left disappointed and some have urged for him to be dropped from the side or even sold.

He was occasionally benched by former Rangers manager Philippe Clement, but the 30-year-old eventually emerged as the difference-maker.

Dalziel is therefore glad to have Dessers in the team and believes that the new owners should try to maintain him even if they bring in another striker in the summer.

“He came on with his objectives.

“You absolutely need goal scorers on your team, and I continue to support him even though he obviously irritates Rangers supporters.”

However, I believe I would rather to focus on the positives, such as how many goals he scores.

“And it’s not limited to the previous two seasons.”

Dalziel believes that what Dessers has going for him is that he has scored at several clubs.

“His record throughout his career shows that he scored goals wherever he went.”

He still has a contract with the Rangers that expires in the summer of 2027.

Under the direction of a new manager and with the financial support of the new owners, Ibrox is expected to have a busy summer.
