Since he revealed a number of homecoming performances at Portman Road stadium on Friday, musician Ed Sheeran has got Ipswich in a frenzy.

The celebrity, a minority owner of Ipswich Town Football Club and a graduate of Framlingham, will perform three shows at the team’s stadium on July 11, 12, and 13.

Fans have been posting on the internet about how desperate they are to get tickets and learn as much as they can about the performances.

However, when will tickets go on sale, what is the price, and how many can you purchase? This is all the information you require.

When can I buy a ticket?

There are quite a few different opportunities to secure tickets.

There is a pre-sale at 10:00 BST on Wednesday, 7 May for those who pre-ordered Sheeran’s new album, or signed up for free via his website.

Fans must have a Ticketmaster account registered with the email address that was used during this process.

Following this, there is a general sale for everyone else on Friday, 9 May at 10:00.

Do Ipswich Town season ticket holders have a sale window?

Ipswich Town season ticket holders will have their own opportunity to purchase tickets, it was confirmed on Tuesday.

According to the club, an exclusive pre-sale window will open on Thursday at 10:00 BST.

Those who already have 2024–25 season tickets will be able to purchase them, and their registered email address will be sent a special pre-sale code.

Supporters who have a season ticket or membership must also have a Ticketmaster account linked to the same email address.

How many tickets can I buy?

There is a strict ticket limit of six for all sales.

Those who purchase in excess of six will have their ordered cancelled, according to Ticketmaster.

“This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information,” Ticketmaster said on its website.

Several authorised sellers will have tickets up for sale, according to Sheeran’s website – as well as Ticketmaster, fans can choose to use Eventim, See Tickets and Gigantic among other official sellers.
