A fire has broken out in a Sainsbury’s on the outskirts of Norwich.

At 11.45am, firefighters from Earlham, Sprowston, and Carrow responded to the Longwater Retail Park store in New Costessey.

An eyewitness reported that the building had been evacuated and that people were being turned away.

A spokesman for the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the fire has been brought under control and that the stop message was issued at 2.19pm.
