Emergency services spotted in Norwich as kayak stolen.

A stolen kayak prompted a large emergency response near the Wensum in Norwich.

The incident resulted in police cars and fire engines being spotted near Fye Bridge Street on Tuesday at 7.56am.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary confirmed that a man stole a phone and keys from a male victim before fleeing.

The suspect then fled the scene, heading towards the city centre before entering a kayak in the Elm Hill gardens area of the River Wensum.
