Engineering firm signs Huddersfield stadium deal

Huddersfield Town’s stadium will now be known as the Accu Stadium after engineering components specialist Accu purchased the exclusive naming rights.

Accu received advice on the transaction from renowned business law firm Schofield Sweeney.

The historic multi-year sponsorship agreement will span five seasons and last until at least 2030.

Accu and Huddersfield Town will make community investments as part of the agreement, including improved match day and fan interaction activities, community development projects, and education-led STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) outreach programs.

Alastair Morris, managing director of Accu, said: “We’re incredibly proud to align our brand with this iconic stadium and with Huddersfield Town – a club that shares our passion for innovation, local pride, and community engagement. The Accu Stadium will be more than a stadium; it will be a symbol of shared ambition and a focal point for the growth of Huddersfield.”

Accu received legal advice on the transaction from Schofield Sweeney. “We have worked and represented Accu for a number of years, and when this opportunity arose, we actively encouraged them to investigate it further and then advised to help get the deal over the line,” stated partner Karen Crutchley. It will be an excellent platform for the company to keep increasing its visibility.

Accu, which was founded in 2012, provides components to over 50% of the top 100 manufacturers worldwide in about 120 countries.
