England trip proof manager doesn’t want Southampton job – Dismissing them when asked

Lens manager Will Still has maintained that he is unconcerned by reports linking him to the Southampton position, and a planned trip to England is said to demonstrate his lack of interest.

Allez Lens covers the situation around the manager today, as he is still linked with a number of roles in England, including Southampton.

The Saints are looking for their next manager ahead of next season, when they will compete in the Championship after a terrible season in the Premier League in which they only just surpassed Derby County’s record low points total.

The notion is that Southampton would try to rebuild around a manager, and Still has been connected with the position.

He, on the other hand, is unconcerned about the rumors and insists that everything is simply part of the bigger picture.

“The offseason is always the same: there are plenty of rumors in the press and on social media. When asked about the rumours, he remarked, “It’s just part of life in football.”

Allez Lens believes there is ‘evidence of his dedication’ to the French club, as Still has already booked a training camp in England this summer. That is slated to take place from July 28th to August 1st at England’s St George’s Park training facility.

He has also organized pre-season friendlies before Ligue 1 returns, including two famous games at Bollaert-Delelis.

This is all interpreted as confirmation that Still is entirely focused on Lens and, given his words, has no interest in Southampton. It’s unclear whether that’s true, given Still’s well-documented history of flirting with a return to England.
