Every rumoured Super League transfer for 2026 including Hull FC trio and outgoing Wigan men

We’re about to pass the halfway mark in the Super League season: so you can expect clubs to start announcing their new signings over the next few weeks.

Only a few of next year’s arrivals have been officially confirmed in the competition thus far this year, but many Super League transfers for 2026 and beyond are already well-known. Here, we look at the transfers that are almost certain for next season, pending an official announcement.

N.B. Players are listed alphabetically by surname

Joe Batchelor (St Helens to Hull FC)

Hull have completed a double swoop on two off-contract Saints forwards, the first of whom is back-rower Batchelor, who has spent the last seven years wearing the Red V. The 30-year-old, who hails from Wakefield, will return to Yorkshire next term, and will undoubtedly square up against brother James of Hull KR in the derby.

James Bell (St Helens to Hull FC)

The other half of the Red V combo scheduled for the MKM Stadium in 2026 is versatile forward Bell, aged 31. The Auckland-born Scotland international, who typically plays loose, will represent Hull for the third time in the Super League, following Leigh and the Saints.

Liam Byrne (Wigan to Warrington).

Another forward who will be on the move at the end of the year is Ireland international Byrne, who will join Warrington after a long stint with Wigan. The 25-year-old has never left The Brick Community Stadium in his career, having made his senior debut for the Warriors in 2019.

Jacob Douglas (Wigan to St Helens)

Douglas is also expected to leave Wigan before 2026, with a speculated move to bitter rivals Saints. The Warriors gave the teenager a one-year deal for 2025, but he has seen limited game time this season, especially with Abbas Miski injured.

Harvie Hill (Wigan to Hull FC)

Fellow Wigan young gun. Hill is another player on his way to Hull FC, and his transfer was one of the first to be leaked during the Super League season. The 21-year-old earned his senior debut in 2022 and played in last year’s World Club Challenge victory over the Penrith Panthers, but he is yet to establish himself in Matt Peet’s starting lineup.

Jordan Lane (Hull FC to Castleford)

With so many players entering Hull, it’s understandable that some will have to depart to make way for them. So far, back-rower Lane is the only one who has agreed terms with Castleford and will undoubtedly be leaving the club. The 27-year-old has never worn another team’s shirt permanently in his career, having progressed via FC’s junior system.

Dayon Sambou (St Helens to Wigan)

2025 The St Helens-Wigan and vice versa transfer paths are rarely used, but a few players will take them this autumn. The Warriors are thought to have signed a young Saints duo, featuring 20-year-old outside-back Sambou, who made his senior debut for Paul Wellens’ team earlier this year during an injury crisis.

Jonny Vaughan (St Helens to Wigan)

Centre Vaughan is joining Sambou in moving from Saints to Wigan, with the pair’s 2026 move disclosed before the 2025 season even began. Vaughan, 20, made his senior debut for the Red V last year and is spending his last year on loan with fellow Super League club Salford.
