Ex-Celtic defender Pressley becomes Dundee Head Coach.

A former Celtic defender has returned to Scottish football after being named Dundee’s new head coach.
Steven Pressley, who played for Celtic under Gordon Strachan from 2006 to 2008, has reunited with his former manager, who now serves as Technical Director at the Dens Park club.
The 51-year-old former manager of Falkirk, Fleetwood Town, Pathos, and Carlisle United was most recently Head of Individual Development at Brentford, where he spent nearly four years.
After leaving Hearts in December 2006 due to a falling out with then-Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov, he made 22 appearances for Celtic, scoring twice.
In a statement confirming Pressley as the new Dundee Head Coach, the club’s Managing Director, John Nelms, said: “We are delighted to welcome Steven Pressley as the new head coach of Dundee Football Club.”
“Steven has spent the last four years with Brentford, an English Premier League club, and he brings with him a shared core value of player development and a balanced approach to winning football.
“Steven will establish a framework to reinforce the message that senior and development players work together. This will lead to success for Dundee Football Club, both on and off the pitch.
“Welcome to the club, Steven, and we are looking forward to many successful campaigns.”
Dundee parted ways with previous manager Tony Docherty last month, despite the 54-year-old securing the club’s Scottish Premiership status on the last day of the season.
He had previously led the club to sixth place after being promoted from the Championship the previous season under Gary Bowyer, who departed shortly after.
