Newcastle United are looking to cash in on a fringe midfielder this summer following back-to-back Championship loans.
Former QPR and Portsmouth midfielder Isaac Hayden is expected to be sold by Newcastle United this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.
The 30-year-old has enjoyed successful short stints at Loftus Road and Fratton Park in recent seasons. Hayden helped QPR avoid relegation over the second half of the 2023/24 season and did the same with Portsmouth last year.
Hayden made 17 appearances for both teams and hasn’t played
for the Magpies since December 2021. He is not part of Eddie Howe’s plans at Newcastle United and has been trying to secure a permanent move away from the club in recent years.
