Exclusive: George Evans set to sign long-term deal with Millwall.

GEORGE Evans is set to sign a long-term contract with Millwall, NewsAtDen understands. The 20-year-old goalkeeper’s contract was set to expire at the end of this month.

Evans was promoted from the under-21s and given his debut following injuries to Lukas Jensen and Liam Roberts, starting the final four games of the season despite having only made one senior appearance.

He was named man of the match in Millwall’s 1-0 victory over Swansea City on April 26, making four saves to ensure the Lions exited The Den with a clean sheet and a crucial three points.

Evans came through Millwall’s under-18s before being granted a professional contract by the club in the summer of 2023.
