According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Jonny Stuttle, a striker for Bournemouth, has agreed to a season-long loan with Walsall.
During the summer transfer window, Stuttle was targeted by numerous League Two and National League teams; nonetheless, Walsall was able to sign the highly regarded forward.
Bournemouth is pleased to farm out the 19-year-old once more so that he can continue to grow with regular first-team games after enjoying stints on loan at Aldershot and Farnborough last season.
On Tuesday, June 24, Football Insider revealed that the Saddlers were in the lead to sign Stuttle. It is now believed that an agreement has been reached for the intriguing player.
During the 2024–2025 season, Jonny Stuttle makes an impression.
Stuttle, who had two goals and nine games at Aldershot Town, was not given enough time to establish himself, but he really came into his own when he moved to Farnborough for the second half of the season.
In just his third game with the team, he scored a hat-trick against Chelmsford, and he scored ten goals in 19 games as Boro ended tenth in the National League South standings.
Conversely, Walsall finished in a play-off slot and lost 1-0 to Wimbledon in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium, barely missing out on promotion to League One.
Mat Sadler’s team had a fantastic year, but it ended tragically. They will want to avoid a recurrence in the 2025–2026 campaign.
Nathan Lowe will be replaced at Walsall by Mat Sadler.
Nathan Lowe, a 19-year-old on loan from Championship team Stoke City, finished the season with 15 goals in 20 starts, making him the Saddlers’ top goal scorer in League Two.
Stuttle has some enormous shoes to fill, but the 19-year-old striker is eager to advance and make an impression in the Football League after making an impression at Farnborough.
A striker with even more potential is required for the upcoming season if Walsall are to push for automatic promotion, as Taylor Allen and Jamille Matt scored 10 and 12 goals, respectively.
Stuttle’s signing could be crucial as the Saddlers prepare for another League Two campaign.
