Charlton Athletic missed out on automatic promotion from League One to Wrexham after being trounced 3-0 on April 26.
They secured their return to the Championship through play-off success last month.

With the transfer window now open, The Valley is looking into potential incomings and outgoings. We reported this week that manager Nathan Jones was offered the Cardiff City position, but has insisted on staying with the Addicks. Meanwhile, EFL Analysis has learnt that Charlton is attempting to re-sign one of its previous players.
Charlton Athletic wants to sign Morgan Fox.
Morgan Fox was interested in numerous clubs, including Millwall, Blackburn Rovers, and Hull City, as we revealed in April. Now, due to information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis can reveal that Charlton are looking to bring Fox back to The Valley this summer. Fox, who is out of contract with Queens Park Rangers, has received attention from a number of clubs, as previously reported.
Blackburn, Millwall, and Hull have all indicated an interest in signing him, and QPR has offered him new terms. We can now report that Charlton, where Fox began his professional career and appeared over 100 times before leaving in 2017, has entered the contest to sign Fox and bring him back to the Valley.
Morgan Fox Charlton Athletic statistics
Fox joined Charlton as a youngster, having previously played for Ipswich Town. He went on to make 116 appearances for his previous club, scoring one goal and assisting nine. Fox left Charlton permanently in 2017 to join Sheffield Wednesday, then moved to Stoke City, leaving for free in 2023 to join QPR.
