Exclusive: QPR backed to secure Reading FC transfer – he’d be a “great addition”

Exclusive: He would be a “great addition” if QPR were to secure a transfer to Reading FC.

The center-back’s contract expires at the end of this month, and the Hoops are reportedly interested in a trade.

Because the player is under 24, the Royals will still be required to pay a minor compensation fee, but overall, the move will be reasonably inexpensive to execute.

Mbengue, 23, has played 97 games for the Berkshire team throughout his three seasons there, but he may soon be ready to step up to the Championship team.

Hendrie thinks Mbengue might be the kind of addition QPR needs to make this summer in order to keep improving as a team.

Based on his performances for Reading last season, he has stated that the defender would be a fantastic addition to the team.

Hendrie told Football League World exclusively, “I think, again, the way QPR went about using a lot of their younger players and I think the season they had last season they showed they were capable of competing compared to previous seasons.”

“I do believe that it is a good idea to bring in defensive players, but I don’t think they currently have the funds to go out and throw a lot of money at players.”

Therefore, I do believe it is essential for them to bring in players at reasonable prices so they aren’t overcommitting.
