Exclusive: Sheffield United told to take clear Vini Souza action on his Bramall Lane future
Chris Wilder’s team will need to get back on track quickly, as the Yorkshire team is now vying for a top two spot with
Leeds and Burnley. The Blades are firmly in the running for automatic promotion back to the Premier League on
their first try, but they have faltered recently, losing 1-0 to Oxford United and Millwall to avoid opening a gap to
teams like Leeds United and Burnley.
On Good Friday, Sheffield United will host Cardiff City with the hopes of winning back-to-back games. On April 21,
they will travel to Turf Moor for a titanic matchup with Burnley.
Midfielder Vini Souza, who has been a mainstay in the Blades midfield for much of the season, is one man who can
help pull Sheffield United closer to the top of the league.
Don Goodman has given Sheffield United advice on their future course of action about his predicament, as interest
from his home country is growing to recruit him before the upcoming season. It is recommended that Sheffield
United make every effort to obtain Vini Souza’s contract extension.
Don Goodman, a commentator on Football League World, acknowledged that Sheffield United is getting the most
out of Vini Souza and counselled them to do everything in their power to retain him after this season.

“Vini Souza is a player that I like, but I’m sure that Sheffield United supporters and Chris Wilder also like him,”
Goodman stated. He’s had a tremendous season, but I’m not sure how long his deal is.
It will be up to Chris Wilder to determine whether any interested clubs are prepared to pay the right amount of
money to upgrade the team or whether he believes they would be better off keeping Vini Souza and trying to get
promoted to the Premier League again if Sheffield United are not promoted.
In any case, it doesn’t change my opinion that he is an excellent player and a strong holding defensive midfielder.
Sheffield United should do everything in their power to ensure that he stays since he is extremely athletic and at the
top of his game.
Vini Souza should be persuaded to stay at Bramall Lane by Sheffield United.
During the winter transfer window, Vini Souza was linked to a return to Brazil with Palmeiras, which will certainly
be an alluring move to return home. Nevertheless, he has a great chance to return to the Premier League with
Sheffield United, and even if that doesn’t happen this season, the Blades would still be in the running for a second
chance.
