Exclusive: According to reports, EFL and SPL clubs are vying for the Sunderland wonderkid move as the loan decision approaches.
According to The Echo, Sunderland forward Trey Ogunsuyi is nearing a loan move away from the Stadium of Light, and other teams are fighting for his signature before the transfer window closes.
The Scottish Premiership, League One, League Two, and Belgium, the country Ogunsuyi plays at the youth international level, are among the several bids the Black Cats are considering for the highly regarded 18-year-old. He might do that in addition to working with the first team if we believe that he needs to stay here and play against opponents of that calibre each week.
We have plenty of suitors for the players and plenty of support to offer them; we just need to figure out what the journey will be like for him. If we believe he would benefit more from playing against men and being challenged in a different department, we will go ahead and make that happen. However, as I previously stated, he is our player for the time being, and we still need to focus on what he could develop into rather than what he currently looks like in two, three, and five years.
