First up is Blackburn Rovers’ 2025–2026 matchup with Valerien Ismael’s previous team.

On the first day of the 2025–26 Championship season, Blackburn Rovers will make the trip to West Bromwich Albion.

In a reversal of the 2023–2024 season opener, Valerien Ismael will travel to one of his old clubs. That day, Rovers defeated the Baggies 2-1 at Ewood Park.

Although all games are subject to alteration by Sky Sports, the trip to The Hawthorns is planned for Saturday, August 9. Within seven days of the matches being announced, Rovers supporters will learn about all of the TV selections for August and September.

After a hectic first month, newly promoted Birmingham City will play their debut game at Ewood Park on August 16 against Hull City (A) and Norwich City (H). The draw for the Carabao Cup first round is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today, and it will take place between the first and second round of fixtures.

On Boxing Day, Rovers will play Middlesbrough at The Riverside Stadium. Blackburn has found that to be a joyful hunting ground, and it might bring some Christmas cheer. On New Year’s Day, Wrexham are guests at Ewood Park.

Rovers’ last opponents are Leicester City, who the Foxes will visit in Lancashire on May 2 to finish the season. The season’s last away day is April 25, when they go to Southampton, another relegated Premier League team. January 17 is Ipswich Town’s away date.

Over the Easter weekend, Rovers will welcome West Brom on Easter Monday after visiting St Andrew’s on Good Friday. Deepdale and Ewood Park will host games against Preston North End on November 22 and February 21, respectively.

This side of Christmas, fans may visit Charlton Athletic and Wrexham to check off some new stadiums. September 27 is the away game in The Valley, while November 29 is the match at The Racecourse Ground.

On November 8, John Eustace and Derby County will make their first appearance at Ewood Park. The Rams’ team is anticipated to include Danny Batth and Andi Weimann for that trip. Pride Park will host the match on February 28.

Swansea City, Sheffield United, Oxford United, Queens Park Rangers, and Bristol City have been chosen as this season’s midweek opponents. With the exception of Ashton Gate, all of those away trips take place after Christmas.
