FPL SCOUT: GAMEWEEK 7 ADVICE, SUGGESTIONS, AND HINTS

The Bees began Gameweek 6 with a victory over Manchester United on Saturday afternoon, and three home games under Keith Andrews have resulted in seven points.

After battling a hamstring injury for over two years, Aaron Hickey (£4.0m) earned his first Premier League start. Igor Thiago (£6.0m) has a goal total that only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (£14.4m) surpasses thanks to his first-half brace. It was all about the striker, who sprinted clear and shot forcefully towards the near post, but Jordan Henderson’s (£5.0m) pass gave Thiago the lead.

The score was 2-0 after another long ball. After the German was disallowed, Thiago ran into the box, chested it onto Kevin Schade (£7.0m), and was in a perfect position to convert a rebound. The fouling of Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) upon his return to west London gave Ruben Amorim’s team a great chance to equalise from the penalty spot. Many Bruno Fernandes (£9.0m) owners were irritated with the penalty save, but over 990,000 were thrilled to receive a Caoimhín Kelleher (£4.5m) prize. He finished with eight points.

Midfielder Yehor Yarmoliuk (£5.0m) was the only Brentford player to win the defensive contribution (DefCon) award, which was introduced this season. He has now done it three times, earning him six more points. The only midfielders with more of these are Josh Cullen (£5.0m) and Moisés Caicedo (£5.7m). Deep into stoppage time, Yarmoliuk also helped Mathias Jensen (£4.9m) score his first-ever attacking goal in the Premier League, bringing the score to 3-1. He has already been included in five of the six Bees lineups.

The 21-year-old has been given enough time to make four shots and take four more. Along with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£5.0m), Granit Xhaka (£5.0m), and Anton Stach (£5.0m), he could be considered one of the top names at this price point by FPL managers. Haaland was the most-captained and most-bought player going into Gameweek 6. The Norwegian spared many blushes with his late grab after a painful weekend of blanks for Nottingham Forest’s assets, Fernandes, João Pedro (£7.8m), Mohamed Salah (£14.5m), and Mohammed Kudus (£6.7m).

16 points from two goals and an assist gave him a massive 48 for his 716,000 Triple Captain activations. Sean Longstaff (£4.9m) played a key role in Leeds’ 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, while bargain defender Omar Alderete (£4.0m) contributed a goal, clean sheet, and DefCon victory in Gameweek 6. Gabriel, a popular defender for Arsenal, scored 13 points thanks to his thrilling late goal, which cost £6.2 million.
