GILLIAN KENNEY BECOMES HILLS’ LATEST RECRUIT.

Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of Gillian Kenney, the latest addition to Karen Hills’ squad ahead of the new season.

The 22-year-old midfielder joins from South Shore Select, where she was named a three-time All-Star, All-Eastern Mass All-Star, and All-State honouree.

Kenney stated after putting pen to paper, “I’m very excited.” I’m really excited to be in a new environment and have the opportunity to play here.

“I’m over the moon.” The American believes that her previous experience has prepared her well for the next step in her career.

“I think it’s prepped me by giving me experience and a skill set, especially the technical ability that I can bring to the WSL2.” Looking ahead to her first season in English football, Kenney is eager to make an impression:

“My goals are to make an impact as a brand new player, develop a good relationship with the team, and overall just try to do my best.” Kenney joins a Charlton side full of ambition as they prepare for the 2025/26 season.
