
Girl, 14, charged after 12-year-old injured in school ‘knife incident’.

A teenager has been charged after a schoolgirl was injured at a secondary school in Aberdeen during an alleged knife attack.
Emergency services were called to Hazlehead Academy on Groats Road on Thursday morning after reports of a 12-year-old girl being injured.
Her parents picked her up from the school and drove her to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for treatment. She has now been released.
Police have charged a 14-year-old girl in connection with the incident. She is about to be reported to the appropriate authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesperson stated, “A 14-year-old girl has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault on Groats Road in Aberdeen.”
“The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025. A 12-year-old girl was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
“The 14-year-old will be reported to the relevant authorities.”
