Hearts sees Jamestown transfer machine jump into life as deal for German third tier ace in motion.
Tony Bloom’s analytics firm has identified Soufian El-Faouzi as a target for the Jambos this summer.

Hearts are interested in signing German midfielder Soufian El-Faouzi. The TSV Alemannia Aachen star is one of the names put forward to incoming manager Derek McInnes. The 22-year-old scored highly on the Jamestown Analytics software. There have been preliminary conversations with Alemannia Aachen about El-Faouzi, who has a year left on his contract. El-Faouzi can operate as a central midfielder or an offensive playmaker. He began his career with SF Siegen’s junior system before moving on to Paderborn and then Fortuna Düsseldorf’s second team. He joined Aachen last year and has been a crucial player for the Bundesliga 3 club, making 41 games, scoring four goals and assisting ten times.
The Jambos have already been active this summer, signing right-back Christian Borchgrevink from Valerenga and Greek winger Alexandros Kyziridis from Zemplin Michalovce. Hearts are also looking to finalise a move for Kazakhstan winger Islam Chesnokov.
