How Hearts made Alexandros Kyziridis offer he couldn’t refuse as he reveals wife ordered his Stirling celebration.

Kyziridis covered his face to hail his goal against Stirling Albion – on his wife’s orders.
Alexandros Kyziridis says Hearts made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.
The Greek winger gave Tynecastle fans a taste of the trickery and attacking threat he hopes to showcase with a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Stirling.
And the 24-year-old insists it was only the beginning of his ambitions after seizing the opportunity to join the Jambos.
He stated, “When you get one offer from such a big club, you can’t say no. I enjoy Scottish football, and the fans celebrate each game. This is what I was thinking about before I agreed to sign with Hearts.
“It was an easy decision.” Before I came, I watched the games to see how the fans and team were, so I knew my new teammates before I arrived. “It was difficult to learn the names. But now, I know everyone.
I had a minor issue with the accent, but now I believe I’m fine and can understand everything.” Kyziridis has signed a three-year contract with Scottish club Edinburgh after his contract with Slovak side MFK Zemplin Michalovce expired, and he revealed that former Jambo Takis Fyssas gave him a glowing recommendation on what to expect in Edinburgh.
His front-foot, attacking style wowed the Hearts fans at Forthbank, and Kyziridis is eager to build on his promising start when Hearts host Dumbarton on Tuesday night.
He added, “My agent spoke with Takis, and he said I needed to go to Hearts. I trusted him and decided to follow his advice. “I could have scored more against Stirling, but that’s fine; that’s football; sometimes it goes in, sometimes not.
“First and foremost, I’m pleased because we won and kept a clean sheet, which is extremely important for our team. “It was great to hear the fans’ positive reactions to me; it was very helpful.
Kyziridis covered his face to celebrate his goal, per his wife’s orders. He stated: “I had a feeling the day before the Stirling game that I would score.
“I talked with my wife about what celebration I should have. She told me to do the celebration, and because I scored, I’d keep it.”
