How Marvin Ducksch could transform Birmingham City’s attack – something he did in 2023/24 was top class

demonstrates that he is a selfless player with the foresight and poise to choose the best choice when the chance
presents itself.
If you look more closely, you can see that such stats weren’t the result of chance; Ducksch was among the top in
2023–2024 and ranked highly for producing shots throughout the Bundesliga.

That elevated him above players like Wout Weghorst and Niclas Füllkrug, two target men with Premier League
experience who were renowned for their ability to pull others into action.
It’s safe to argue that Ducksch is a creative attacker given his high scoring averages for both progressive and
completed passes. It should be emphasised that he is playing in the Bundesliga, which is unquestionably a higher
level than the Championship.

Therefore, it will be hard for Blues fans not to get excited about what he could add to the team, and one player who
will be relishing the prospect of linking up with Ducksch is Furuhashi.

Ducksch appears to be the perfect companion for him, and the two of them have the background and talent to
continue wreaking havoc at this level.
It’s unclear where that will leave Jay Stansfield, but Davies has a good problem as Birmingham is assembling a team
that many of its opponents will be envious of.
