How much money Wrexham AFC are to pay Ipswich Town to sign Nathan Broadhead

Phil Parkinson’s side kicked off their return to the Championship with a 2-1 defeat at Southampton, with two stoppage-time goals from the Saints denying the Welsh outfit a brilliant opening day victory.

The Red Dragons put this behind them however to spark a comeback of their own, overcoming a two-goal deficit to defeat Hull City on penalties in the EFL Cup.

Wrexham strike Nathan Broadhead agreement

Wrexham’s pursuit of Broadhead has been well-documented this summer, with it previously reported by the East Anglia Daily Times that a transfer in the region of £7 million was to be completed.

Now, as per Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph via X, the Red Dragons have agreed a club record deal to bring the 27-year-old to Wales.

The fee is believed to be £10 million, dwarfing the previous record of £5 million set when Lewis O’Brien was acquired earlier this summer.
