Huddersfield Town: American businessman Kevin M Nagle confirmed as prospective new owner
American entrepreneur Kevin M. Nagle has been mentioned as the potential new owner of championship team
Huddersfield.
Subject to governance and legislative processes, Nagle, the owner of Sacramento Republic in the USA, agreed to
purchase the team from chairman Dean Hoyle.
Earlier this month, Hoyle became the club’s sole shareholder.
“I am beyond pleased to announce I have entered into agreement with Dean Hoyle to purchase a full stake in
Huddersfield Town,” Nagle stated.
“As the approval process is now under way, there will be no further comment until finalization, as we wish to 100%
respect that process.
“I would, however, like to thank Dean for all his help and support along the way, and I cannot wait to meet and speak
to the wonderful Town fans.”
After taking management in 2009, Hoyle sold the team to Phil Hodgkinson eleven years later.
Due to Hodgkinson’s financial troubles, he returned in 2021 to give finance, but in 2022 he resigned as CEO for
health reasons.
Due to their late submission of their annual accounts, the Terriers, who are currently three points from safety in
22nd position in the Championship, were subject to a transfer embargo earlier in March.
