Huddersfield Town boss Lee Grant provides positive update on duo ahead of Stockport County plus latest on three other players.
Evans has not played since sustaining a knee injury during preseason, while Miler, who began the season in excellent form, has been out since hurting his hamstring in mid-August.
“It’s really nice to have Mickel Miller training with us for the first time this week and Antony Evans on the fringes of training as well,” added Grant, whose team is hosting Stockport County in League One this weekend.
“That’s been a real nice boost for the group.
“Considering where he and Mickel are at in their development, Anthony is most likely lagging a little. However, both are exactly where we want them to be. “Maybe this weekend comes too early for both.”
Grant confirmed that Lynden Gooch is able for selection after he came through Tuesday’s EFL Trophy game at Harrogate Town.
The Terriers manager has also stated that the team is being cautious with Radinio Balker, who suffered a setback after playing for Suriname during the most recent international break.
Among the injured list, which also includes loanees Will Alves, Zepiqueno Redmond, Herbie Kane, and Jack Whatmough, Marcus McGuane (groin) is still a ways off from making his first-team comeback.
“I think it was the right thing to do with Lynden, and we had it pre-planned in terms of his minutes for Tuesday,” Grant continued. We’re quite happy that everything went according to plan.
He has clearly put in a lot of effort once more in the group and completed the most of the training, which is commendable. He is prepared to be chosen if and when it becomes necessary. Since the last international break, Rads has had a challenging few weeks because he had to spend some time off the pitch due to an ankle rock.
He’s still in a period of strengthening and building that strength back up, so we can get him back to where he was, prior to the international break.
