Ben Wiles, Mickel Miller, Marcus Harness and Murray Wallace will join Ledson to form the team’s leadership group
for the upcoming campaign.
“From the beginning, we wanted the team to select leaders they naturally respected and believed in. Town manager
Lee Grant stated on his club’s website that by involving them in that process, they are already holding one another
accountable, forging a bond and a new dynamic that is crucial in such a new group.
“When we hired Ryan, his professionalism and personality really appealed to us, and his leadership abilities spoke
for themselves. We anticipate that he will flourish in this role, which he has carried with him since day one, as he
continues to lead by example and speech.
“The larger leadership group, which consists of Ryan, Ben, Mickel, Marcus, and Murray, has a solid mix of players
with and without experience, as well as a variety of personalities and perspectives. They can work together to create a
winning culture in the locker room that will enable us to achieve our objectives this season.
“Being named captain of the club is a huge honour, and it means a lot to me and my family to be the leader of this
group,” Ledson continued. I understand the importance of this position, and I will proudly don the armband each
and every time I lead Town out.
“I have tried to demonstrate leadership in every squad I have been a part of during my career because it shouldn’t be
something you only try to bring when you are appointed captain. It is imperative that we have a close-knit
community that supports one another and strives for the same objective, and it is my responsibility to contribute to
its upkeep every single day.

trust and confidence each and every day alongside Ben, Mickel, Marcus and Murray. We have a talented, ambitious
and hungry group, and I won’t allow our standards to slip as we work together to make this season the success we all
want.
“This club’s supporters are accustomed to having a captain who is passionate about Huddersfield Town, gives their
all for the team, and sets an example. I’m not going to be any different.
“I think it’s important to have the same values as our supporters and to demonstrate that on the pitch. I’m looking
forward to strengthening that bond and maximising what is a new beginning for all of us.”
