Huddersfield Town Miss Out on £1.2m Target as Wrexham Bid

Following a dismal season in which their prospects of promotion quickly faded, the Terriers are getting ready for the upcoming campaign under their new manager, Lee Grant.
With the signing of Ryan Ledson, Lyndon Gooch, Joe Low, Marcus Harness, and Sean Roughan of Lincoln City, among others, they have been rather active in the window thus far.
They are still searching for a variety of targets this summer, though, so their work is far from done.
One name they have been heavily linked to is Bolton Wanderers captain George Thomason. However it now appears as though they will miss out on the signing.

After spending two stints at Bamber Bridge, the 24-year-old solidified his spot in the first team squad after joining Bolton from non-league Longridge.
He has since made 169 appearances for the team, contributing 16 assists and 13 goals.
Because of his influence, Thomason is the club’s captain and a vital member.
He has a deal with the team till 2027.
This means that the power is in the Trotters’ hands and they are within their rights to ask for a large fee.
Huddersfield have not been afraid to spend big in recent windows.
However, it is understood from sources close to the deal that they are unwilling to get dragged into a bidding war against Wrexham with their larger resources.
