Huddersfield Town next manager latest as Kevin Nagle promises ‘lots of changes.’

Kevin Nagle, the owner of Huddersfield Town, has promised to make “a lot of changes” before the upcoming season.

regardless of the division the team ends up in.

With Town losing 11 of their last 17 games, the Terriers are currently on track to miss out on a League One play-off

spot after a poor second half of the season.

Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle has vowed to make a “lot of changes” heading into next season irrespective of

which division the club finds itself in.

The Terriers are currently on course to miss out on a League One play-off place following a disappointing second half

of the season, with Town having lost 11 of their past 17 matches.

The downturn has left Town ninth in the table and five points adrift of the top six with just four games of the season

remaining, with the Terriers having previously held a play-off spot for more than three months of the campaign.

The owner wrote in a notebook on X, “I just know this, we’re going to make a lot of changes.”

Many of the changes are too big for us to discuss. I don’t want to argue with public figures, but based on what I’ve

observed on X and some message boards, I believe I’ve always heard everyone. It doesn’t imply I haven’t done

anything just because they can’t see me doing it in public. I simply want them to know that I hear you.

“I can’t also make decisions just purely on the basis of really what the public at large says, because unfortunately they

just don’t have all the information privately that we could never share with the public.

Sometimes decisions are taken in private, and while it may appear that they are based on incomplete information, be

assured that we have already made decisions and will continue to do so well into the upcoming season; they have just

not yet been made public.

“We’re going to make a lot of changes for the purpose of providing some shareholder information—in this case, I say

our shareholders are our fanbase. There is a lot to be done in the next 120 days to get ready for next year, regardless

of where we are now. We have made adjustments and will make many more.

At the end of the season, Nagle confirmed, Town will intensify their search for a new manager. “There have been a lot

of rumours that have gone on ‘X’ and some other places on managers we have talked to,” he stated.

“As of yet, we have not spoken with any managers. Yes, we have a list that we have put up, and it will keep growing as

the season draws to a close and more people become available. Those choices have not yet been made.

The season has been incredibly disappointing in the second half. Jon Worthington was quite honest with me during

our conversation. With eight or nine games remaining, we requested Jon, who is an excellent academy director, to

come over and help us cross the finish line.

“Changing the players’ mentality is a difficult task. It was one of our worst games of the season, and Saturday was a

terrible game.

Nagle stated that one area he wants the club to focus on in their summer transfer deal is the level of physicality in the

squad. “We have a lot of contracts that are expiring, and honestly, that’s a lot from where we were last year,” the

proprietor continued.

We had several fresh signings last year after letting a few expire, as you are aware. Although I think many of our

purchases are good, I will say this: we will undoubtedly have a larger squad the next season, and I believe our fan

base will understand. We will grow in size and become more physically fit.

“That’s the only thing I see that needs to be addressed by the squad.” I’ve spoken with a lot of coaches, and one of the

things I’ll say is that we get a lot of advice during this time from everyone, including our supporters, who don’t think

I’m paying attention to them. It’s also possible that I’m not moving as quickly as they would like me to, again for the

reasons we previously mentioned.

The bottom line is that [we’re] gathering a lot of information from everyone, including consultants and agents and

agencies we speak with. As a result, many decisions that have been or will be made are based on a lot of information,

and ultimately, only one or two people will make that choice.
