Huddersfield Town are plotting a stunning move to sign Nathan Lowe from Stoke City, with the Potters’ valuation of the 19-year-old now revealed.
According to a new report from Alan Nixon via Patreon, the Terriers intend to continue doing their transfer business in a manner that has already captured the attention of many onlookers. Last season, the West Yorkshire club returned to League One for the first time since 2012, ending in 10th place, 14 points behind the play-off spots. Michael Duff was fired in March, and Jon Worthington was unable to stop the slide in the campaign’s final weeks.
Lee Grant has now been appointed, with the 42-year-old already receiving strong backing from American owner Kevin Nagle. Town has made six signings thus far, including Ryan Ledson, Sean Roughan, Marcus Harness, Joe Low, Murray Wallace, and Josh Feeney. The former Ipswich Town assistant coach already has several attacking alternatives at his disposal, but he is now hoping to strengthen this department as Huddersfield look to lure the highly rated striker away from the Bet365 Stadium. Huddersfield Town plot stunning Nathan Lowe raid as Stoke City valuation revealed
According to Nixon’s aforementioned claim, the Staffordshire outfit values the 19-year-old at around £2.5 million, a number that the third-tier outfit is reported to be close to matching. Despite Lowe’s well-documented exploits at Walsall during the first half of last season, in which he scored 15 goals in just 22 league appearances in the West Midlands, it has been suggested that Stoke could sell the England youth international if they receive a sufficient fee for his services.

Huddersfield have already demonstrated their ambition with recent arrivals, while also apparently paying the same price to get Ethan Galbraith away from divisional rivals Leyton Orient. However, it remains to be seen whether the Terriers agree to the bonuses required to meet Stoke’s seven-figure valuation. Lowe has made 27 senior appearances for Stoke since breaking into the first-team squad, scoring twice, one of which came against West Bromwich Albion after being recalled from the Saddlers in January. However, his overall playing time was restricted, with only 10 appearances, half of which came in the starting lineup under Mark Robins.
Nathan Lowe raid would further increase Huddersfield Town promotion expectations and aid Lee Grant striker search

Lowe’s performances have already piqued the curiosity of personnel at the John Smith’s Stadium, with Football League World exclusively reporting Town’s interest in a loan move for the forward during his spectacular stay with Walsall back in January. However, he turned down the opportunity to move up the EFL ladder in order to stay with Mat Sadler’s side for the season, and the Reds’ promotion bid fell apart after his recall, missing out on automatic promotion before losing to AFC Wimbledon in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium on May 26th.
Town would then spend lavishly on Joe Taylor and Dion Charles. However, neither has started scoring goals in blue and white, while current transfer target Aaron Collins has dropped down to League Two to join the ambitious project at MK Dons. It is evident that Grant is looking for another striker, and paying such a large price for Lowe could be the solution, while also raising hopes of a return to the Championship.
