Huge emergency response on north Manchester street as area cordoned off.

A massive emergency response rushed to a residential street in north Manchester on Monday evening (April 21), as the area was cordoned off.

Police, paramedics, and firefighters flooded Edgware Road and Edenbridge Road near Newton Heath shortly before 5 p.m. in response to a welfare concern report.

Pictures and videos shared online show unmarked police vehicles, fire engines, and vans lining the street, with a cordon in place.

Officers were seen speaking with residents and then leading a group away from the scene during the response. The scene remained in place for about 90 minutes before being called off.

Emergency services had been called due to concerns about a man’s well-being. Police later confirmed that a man in his late thirties was detained on scene.

There were no injuries reported during the incident. The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were dispatched to the scene to assist police.

No further information has been confirmed.
