Hugo Bueno raves over ‘outstanding’ Wolves teammate after what he did vs Tottenham

Following his performance against Tottenham, Hugo Bueno extols his “outstanding” Wolves teammate.

In north London, Wanderers and Spurs tied 1-1, but they came very near to winning. Joao Palhinha gave the home team a goal from the edge of the penalty area in the 94th minute, stealing a much-needed victory from Wolves.

It was really disappointing because Wolves held their one-goal lead in the second half while Spurs hardly shown any attacking threat. But despite the terrible finale to the game, there are plenty of things to take for Wolves. And the first was Santiago Bueno’s outstanding performance, which led to Wolves’ score. For Wolves, Santiago Bueno has reached a purple patch.

He has mostly served as a rotation option since joining the team from Girona. But after several strong performances this season, he is currently positioned close to the top of Wolves’ centre-back hierarchy. In the past two games, he has performed exceptionally well. Pereira commended Bueno’s mindset during the draw with Spurs, and his namesake Hugo also presented him with flowers.

He declared: “I’m ecstatic for Santi,” according to a Wolves official. He’s such a wonderful guy, and he’s one of those athletes who constantly maintains high training standards and gives you their all, no matter what. He demonstrated that trait. “Aside from the goal, which is a gift for all of his hard work, I want to highlight his defensive play because he was excellent for us both on and off the ball, and I hope he can continue to bring us so much joy.”

It would have been assumed that Santi Bueno would start for Wolves against Brighton this weekend for the third time in a row. Hearing Santi Bueno receive all the praise at this time is wonderful. Now that Pereira has all of his other alternatives accessible and fit, it will be crucial for him to maintain consistency.
