After agreeing to a two-year contract with Cameron Humphreys, a defender for Rotherham, Port Vale made their sixth acquisition of the summer transfer window.
After spending the previous three seasons with the Millers, the 26-year-old has made 113 appearances and scored his first two goals.
Humphreys is a “commanding centre-back” who would be a “fantastic addition to the group” due to his comfort on the ball, according to Vale manager Darren Moore, who has been granted a “competitive budget” to bolster his team.
Ahead of the team’s return to League One the following season, Humphreys joins other recent additions at Vale Park, including wing-back Jordan Gabriel, offensive midfielder Rico Richards, left-back Liam Gordon, and midfielder Jordan Shipley.
