Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie says the former Preston striker isn’t necessarily any better than a player the Sky Blues reportedly spent £8 million on a few summers ago. Simms joined from Everton in 2023, and although he scored 19 goals in his debut season, he only scored six last season, which cost him his spot in Frank Lampard’s starting lineup.
