After Thomas Frank was appointed manager, Tottenham may sabotage Man United’s attempt to recruit Bryan Mbeumo, a star for Brentford.
Senior Correspondent Pete O’Rourke discussed his sources’ thoughts on the 25-year-old’s future on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.
Frank’s arrival has increased the likelihood that Spurs would outbid United for his services, but if they do, it would be an incredible development.
On June 9, former Man United top scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Ruben Amorim’s team is gaining ground on Mbeumo and that an agreement is anticipated.
Although the Cameroon international is adamant about moving to Old Trafford, sources claim that negotiations are still going on with Brentford.
In order to entice him ahead of competing teams, United is prepared to “break the bank” with a hefty transfer price and salary on offer, according to Football Insider.
Bryan Mbeumo is certain that Man United will defeat Tottenham.
Despite rumours of approaches for both Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, Football Insider reported on June 10 that Frank is unlikely to attack Brentford for their best players. Instead, it is generally anticipated that Mbeumo will sign with United in the upcoming weeks after the Red Devils and the Bees agree on a cost.
Although the forward will be drawn to Frank’s presence, O’Rourke clarified that there is increasing hope at Old Trafford that a transaction “will get done.”
“Beating Man United to Mbeumo is going to be tough,” he told Football Insider.
“The player himself wants to move to Old Trafford rather than other possible teams, and United is further down the line on this move.
Although Thomas Frank would be a strong lure for Mbeumo, United feels certain they can sign the Cameroon international.
“They have had one bid turned down, and they are still in negotiations with Brentford.

Following Bryan Mbeumo’s twist, an update on Antoine Semenyo is revealed.
Spurs have set their sights on other targets, such as Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo, as Mbeumo appears to be moving north to Old Trafford.
On June 10, Brown informed Football Insider that Tottenham will increase their efforts to get Semenyo, as United’s acquisition of the Brentford player has made room for Spurs.
Following initial discussions with both Brentford and Bournemouth, Brown informed Football Insider that United would sign either Mbeumo or Semenyo.
Tottenham has been handed a clear shot at the Ghanaian international, with their sights being firmly set on the former, as there is increasing confidence that they can come to an agreement.
