Jack Butland reacts to message from new Rangers owners after takeover announcement.

Jack Butland has responded to a message from Rangers’ new owners following the confirmation of their takeover.
After months of deliberation, rumours, doubts, and excitement, the Bears now have new majority owners.
The purchase of Rangers by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises has been approved by the Scottish FA, according to the club.
The announcement comes just in time for the new owners to hire a new manager and overhaul a squad that finished 17 points behind SPFL champions and rivals Celtic.
After his father, Carlo, left Real Madrid, Davide Ancelotti has emerged as one of the favourites to become Rangers’ next manager.

Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe write letters to Rangers fans.Following the confirmation of their takeover, new owners Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe wrote an open letter to Rangers fans on Instagram, which read: “Dear Rangers Supporters,”We are thrilled to be starting a new chapter for this extraordinary club. This moment is the result of months of thoughtful discussions with club leadership, as well as our shared belief in the Rangers’ future success.
“To that end, we’d like to explain our thinking.
“Simply put, our goal is to win trophies in Scotland and compete at a high level in Europe, all while laying the groundwork for long-term financial sustainability.
“As a first step, we are injecting new capital into Rangers, which will be used strategically both on and off the pitch. While we recognise the value of resources, we believe that thoughtful, disciplined investment guided by a clear strategy is the key to long-term success.
“Every decision, whether sporting or business, will be made with the club’s long-term success and sustainability in mind.”
The letter then goes on to outline the priority of finding a new manager, “reconstituting” the board to “bring in a few new voices and skill sets” while also respecting and honouring the club’s traditions.
Several Rangers players, most notably Butland, liked the post and are undoubtedly excited to see what the new owners can bring to the club.

Football Insider’s Verdict
Butland’s second season with Rangers was a disappointment after a successful first season.
The English shot-stopper lost confidence and made high-profile mistakes, leading to his dismissal by manager Barry Ferguson.
Liam Kelly replaced the former Stoke player and impressed during his time in goal.
Despite losing the second leg, the Scottish shot-stopper’s heroics in the first leg against Athletic Club helped the Bears earn an unlikely 0-0 draw.
While Butland has a higher profile, the new Rangers hierarchy may consider selling the 32-year-old if given the opportunity this summer.
