Jack Harrison in as another Leeds star misses out on Sweden trip for Man United showdown

Jack Harrison, a winger for Leeds, is anticipated to travel with them on their preseason trip to play Manchester United.

The former Everton loanee’s future at Elland Road is questionable because there are questions regarding his dedication to the Whites and his capacity to succeed in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke is not confident that he can succeed in the Premier League after he only managed four goals and three assists in 63 games during his two seasons on loan at Goodison Park.

Harrison set for Sweden tour as star missing

Although Harrison is expected to travel to Sweden, Leeds will be without seasoned forward Patrick Bamford.

While the former Man City star has made the team, the 31-year-old is expected to be left out, according to a report by Graham Smyth on July 19.

Although the reasons for Bamford’s absence are yet unknown, there are doubts about his capacity to succeed in the top division.

Smyth said: “Leeds United yet to reveal the names in their travelling party, but we’re hearing that Patrick Bamford is not among them. But Jack Harrison is, we understand.”

Bamford could leave Leeds this summer

The last time that the Peacocks were in the top-flight in the 2022-23 season, Bamford notched four goals and two assists, a farcry from his first in the division, where he scored 17 and assisted seven strikes in the 2020-21 campaign.

His recent form has taken a fall; in the 2023–24 season, he scored eight goals in the Championship, but in the 17 games played last season, he failed to score a goal.

The veteran has suffered from injuries, and since Wrexham is apparently interested, it might be time for the LS11 to let him go.

Harrison, meanwhile, sees it as an opportunity to put himself in the shop window and get a transfer out of Yorkshire, where he has been on loan for the last two seasons and is obviously not interested in staying.
