James Beadle reveals key to Birmingham City transfer and sets two personal targets.

Birmingham City have signed custodian James Beadle on loan from Premier League team Brighton.
Following his move to Birmingham City, James Beadle believes he is poised to become one of the Championship’s top goalkeepers.
Beadle, who recently helped England’s under-21s win the European Championships in Slovakia, has agreed to a season-long loan with Premier League club Brighton, becoming the Blues’ second signing of the summer.
The 20-year-old has spent the last 18 months in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday and now aims to compete at the top of the second division.
Addressing the similarities in stature between Blues and his former loan club Sheffield Wednesday, Beadle told Blues+: “They are obviously both big clubs, but now I want to take that next step up and play at the top of the table, challenging, and hopefully, from what everyone has been saying here, we will be.” Beadle will have to replace Blues’ current number one, Ryan Allsop, who won the League One Golden Glove last season and kept 24 clean sheets in 45 games across all competitions.
After progressing through the three EFL leagues, Beadle hopes to complete the Championship this time and qualify for the Premier League and England’s senior team.
He added: “As a custodian, there is little difference between the leagues, but there is a significant gap between League One and the Championship.
Now that I’ve had Championship experience, I feel like I’m ready to take the next step and become one of the top goalkeepers in the Championship. “I just want to play every game and be a valuable member of the squad. “I want to aim for the stars and see where I end up.
