Jamie Vardy scores in his final ever game for Leicester City

In the 28th minute of Leicester City’s 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town at the King Power Stadium, Jamie Vardy scored his 200th goal, marking his 500th and final appearance for the team.

The 38-year-old, who joined the foxes from Fleetwood Town in 2012, made the announcement on social media last month that he was leaving the team.

For a £1 million cost, he became the first player to sign from a non-league club.

Vardy wanted to finish his Leicester career at the King Power Stadium in front of the fans who had screamed his name for almost ten years, even though Leicester City only have one Premier League match left, against Bournemouth.

Supporters will honor Vardy as one of Leicester City’s greatest players ever.

He played a key role in 2016 when the team, who were 5000/1 outsiders at the beginning of the season, won the Premier League title.

  • Additionally, he played for Leicester City when they won the FA Cup for the first time in their history in 2021.

His accomplishments also include winning a Community Shield and leading Leicester to two promotions.
