Jimmy Thelin had ‘to go at’ Aberdeen players in build-up to Celtic’s Scottish Cup final clash.

Aberdeen is all that stands between Celtic and a domestic treble.
The Scottish Cup final presents an opportunity for the Bhoys to complete a clean sweep of trophies.
The competition’s favourites, Brendan Rodgers’ side, have been on a hot streak, but Aberdeen’s performance is not as impressive.
The Dons have lost their last four games, falling from what seemed like an unavoidable third place finish to fifth and barely securing European football.
Jimmy Thelin’s Aberdeen team has experienced a significant decline in performance after a promising start to the season.

Aberdeen star reveals Jimmy Thelin’s outburst before the Celtic game.
Thelin has expressed frustration with Aberdeen’s performance and has not made any excuses.
Defender Mats Knoester revealed that the 47-year-old lost his cool behind the scenes, citing the 4-0 loss to Rangers as a game where Thelin let out his frustrations.
Knoester told the Press and Journal, “He has to go at us if we’re not showing up.” I believe that at times, a manager must do this.
“It was during the Rangers game (a 4-0 defeat at Ibrox, in which he lost his temper). I understand his frustration; it was mine as well.
Mats Knoester appears to have already admitted defeat to Celtic.
Celtic are widely expected to win the game at Hampden Park.
Aberdeen have gone winless in their last 30 games against the Bhoys, and despite his best efforts, Knoester appears to be echoing everyone else’s sentiments.
“Yes, we’re not the favourites,” the Dutchman admitted.
“I know where it comes from. People think: ‘They played us in the league a few weeks ago, lost by that score, and now they’re going to Hampden for the final. What are the chances? You know.
“But this is a new game.” It’s a cup game, a game in and of itself, and we must also learn from the previous game.”
