John Eustace told third Derby County transfer raid could end in failure
The Rams have been linked with Blackburn Rovers man Lewis Travis
Lewis Travis of Blackburn Rovers is reportedly a target for Derby County. According to Sky Sports analyst Lee
Hendrie, Lewis Travis is “worthy” of a transfer this summer due to his performances for Blackburn Rovers. John
Eustace, the manager of the Rams, managed midfielder Travis at Ewood Park before taking over at Pride Park. He
has also raided his former club for two players this summer, with Danny Batth and Andi Weimann joining Derby.
“Travis is one of those players, after all. He’s excellent at this level, as I’ve stated numerous times,” Hendrie told
Football League World.
“With all the interest in him being connected away, you do wonder if it will really happen. He had another strong
season and is a key member of the football team. That will be the intriguing element.
He went on to say, “I do think he’s well, well, worthy of getting the move, but at the same time you think Blackburn
should be looking to sort of build the team around what he is and what he’s done so far.”
“I wouldn’t be shocked if he decided to stay.”
