Kevin Nagle, the manager of Huddersfield Town, is blunt about the team’s terrible League One season.

Huddersfield Town picked up just 20 points in the second half of the 2024/25 campaign

Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle has vowed to eradicate the “disease” that has caused the club’s form to

plummet in the second half of the season.

With a 4-1 loss to Leyton Orient at home on Saturday, the Terriers completed a miserable League One campaign. It

was Town’s sixth consecutive defeat and their eighth in ten games since Jon Worthington took over as interim

manager.

But Town has been playing poorly for a while now; in their last 21 games, they have lost 15 of them. The Terriers

gained 44 points in the first half of the season, but only 20 in the second.

The owner maintains that he and the club’s employees will “work day and night” to turn Town around, believing that

the issue “starts with leadership and culture.”

“No words I can say will make you or me feel better about this season,” Nagle wrote on X shortly after Town’s final-

day loss. “All I can say is this: you will have my time, my passion, and my money this off-season, as we will work day

and night to get this right.”

“In all my years of being in team ownership, across ALL sports, I have never had one collapse like this mid-season.

That is a disease we will be eradicating this off-season, amongst other things. It starts with leadership and culture.

And those are the ones that shouldn’t be here the following year if that offends anyone in the building. Furthermore,

I’m not assigning blame if you believe that. ME is where it all begins and ends. And I have to do better, and I WILL

do better.

“I want to thank you, the supporters, along with our amazing club staff for putting up with this season as best you

can. You all deserve so much more. In the coming weeks, you will see actions befitting these words. Time to go to

work.”
