Only a year after leaving Leicester City, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is expected to sign a £28 million contract.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a former Leicester City favourite, is close to joining Everton for £28 million.
Only a year after moving to Stamford Bridge for £30 million, the midfield player is expected to depart Chelsea. The 26-year-old had also drawn interest from Fulham, but it appears that he will join David Moyes and the Toffees as they prepare to move into their new stadium. Dewsbury-Hall left his boyhood club to rejoin Enzo Maresca, who was City’s standout player during their promotion campaign two seasons prior. Despite winning two winners’ medals at the end of the season—the Europa Conference and the Club World Cup—Dewsbury-Hall did not play as frequently as he would have wanted.
He was a second-string option in the Premier League, making just 11 appearances and two starts. He played in all 15 Conference League games, scoring four goals and dishing out three assists, including one in the championship game, a 4-1 victory over Real Betis. Although Dewsbury-Hall will be Everton’s fifth acquisition of the summer window, Moyes wants nine or ten since he believes this is the largest roster overhaul his team has ever had to go through.
Last week, he declared, “I’ve never had one of these times.” “I’ve signed a lot of players in the past, but I’ve never had to do so many in one window.” Along with Ben Chilwell (£50m) and Harvey Barnes (£38m), Dewsbury-Hall is one of three players from City’s academy who have gone for at least £30m in recent years. Nine of the 24 players in Marti Cifuentes’ team versus Fiorentina had risen through the ranks of the club, demonstrating the academy’s ongoing success in recent years.
