Kingston Council confirms the removal of abandoned car in Tolworth.

Kingston Council has removed an abandoned and wrecked VW Golf that had been on Kingston Road in Tolworth for three weeks.

A Kingston Nub News spokesperson stated: “Having carried out all necessary and due diligence checks, including ensuring that the car was no longer of interest to other authorities such as the Police, the Council arranged for [the car’s] removal on Tuesday, 11 March 2025.”

The car was damaged in the front and nearside wing, and police tape surrounded the area.

The windscreen had been smashed in a few places.

The car was left in the pedestrian and cyclist crossing area outside Lidl’s headquarters.

“Long traffic queues heading towards Tolworth from Ewell Road to Kingston Road,” according to a local resident.
