Sheffield United striker Kieffer Moore seems to be ‘lacking confidence’ in front of goal, EFL pundit Ali Maxwell believes.
Sheffield United won 3-0 away at Bristol City in their Championship play-off first leg clash. Harrison Burrows, Andre Brooks and Callum O’Hare got their goals at Ashton Gate.
The Blades welcome the Robins to Bramall Lane for the second leg and their opponents have a mountain to climb in South Yorkshire. Rob Dickie is suspended after he was sent off last Thursday.
Maxwell has said on the Not The Top 20 Podcast on YouTube: “I don’t think Moore looks anything like peak Kieffer Moore right now, and certainly not in front of goal, where he really looks lacking confidence. The goal just showed what he offers, even if he’s not scoring goals, as a focal point. It was funny seeing him running on to a flick on, other than the other way round. He’s always going to drag centre-backs towards him because he is such a focal point. He creates more space for the other attacking players.”
Sheffield United finished the regular season in 3rd place in the table. Leeds United and Burnley finished in the top two above them in the end.
Sheffield United latest regarding Kieffer Moore
Sheffield United signed Moore last summer following their relegation from the Premier League. SUFC slipped out of the top flight along with Burnley and Luton Town.
The forward was handed a three-year deal running until June 2027. He has since made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Blades and has scored five goals.

Moore was set to join fellow second tier outfit Hull City before Chris Wilder’s side swooped in to hijack the deal. He spent time on loan at Ipswich Town last year.
The Wales international, who has made 48 caps so far, has played over 400 games in his career. He has had spells in the past with the likes of Barnsley, Wigan Athletic, Cardiff City and AFC Bournemouth, among others.
Will Sheffield United make it to Wembley?
Sheffield United have put themselves in a strong position ahead of the second leg. SUFC have one foot in the final at Wembley but still have some work to do.
The Blades were disappointed to miss out on automatic promotion. However, they still have a strong chance of going up. Sunderland are 2-1 up against Coventry City in the other tie.
Moore will hope to cause more problems for Bristol City on Monday evening. He was fouled for the first goal by Rob Dickie which saw the defender sent off.
