Sheffield United striker Kieffer Moore seems to be ‘lacking confidence’ in front of goal, EFL pundit Ali Maxwell believes.
Sheffield United won 3-0 at Bristol City in the first leg of the Championship play-offs. Harrison Burrows, Andre Brooks, and Callum O’Hare scored goals at Ashton Gate.
Sheffield United have put themselves in a solid position for the second leg. SUFC has one foot in the Wembley Final, but there is still work to be done.
The Blades were devastated to have missed out on automatic promotion. They still have a good chance of going higher. Sunderland leads Coventry City 2-1 in the other tie.
Moore will look to cause additional difficulties for Bristol City on Monday evening. Rob Dickie fouled him for the first goal, earning the defender a red card.
The Blades host the Robins to Bramall Lane for the second leg and their opponents have a mountain to climb in South Yorkshire. Rob Dickie is suspended after being sent off last Thursday.
Maxwell stated on the Not The Top 20 Podcast on YouTube: “I don’t think Moore looks like peak Kieffer Moore right now, especially in front of goal, where he appears to lack confidence. The goal just demonstrated what he can offer as a focal point, even when he is not scoring goals. It was funny seeing him running on to a flick on, other than the other way round. He will always draw centre-backs to him because he is such a focal point. “He makes more room for the other attacking players.”
Sheffield United concluded the regular season in third position in the league. Leeds United and Burnley eventually ended in the first two places ahead of them.
Sheffield United latest regarding Kieffer Moore
Moore joined Sheffield United last summer after their relegation from the Premier League. SUFC, like Burnley and Luton Town, dropped out of the top division.

The forward was given a three-year contract that runs until June 2027. He has now made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Blades, scoring five times.
Moore was scheduled to join rival second-tier club Hull City when Chris Wilder’s side stepped in and hijacked the deal. He was on loan at Ipswich Town last year.
The Wales international has 48 caps and played over 400 games in his career. He has formerly played for Barnsley, Wigan Athletic, Cardiff City, and AFC Bournemouth, among other clubs.
