Leeds bid €26 million for Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra

According to L’Équipe, Leeds United have made an offer of €26 million to RC Strasbourg Alsace for club captain Habib Diarra (21).

As L’Équipe previously reported, unlike last summer, Strasbourg is no longer opposed to losing the midfielder and would be open to sell if a high enough offer came in for a player under contract until 2028.

Aston Villa and Stade Rennais have already been connected, but it looks that Leeds are the first club to initiate formal talks to sign the Senegalese international. Strasbourg are expected to wait and see how the market reacts to Leeds’ offer.

Leeds will return to the Premier League after a two-year sabbatical, having won the 2024/25 Championship. They almost missed out on promotion the previous season, losing in the playoff final to Southampton FC.
